We are pleased to announce the new Release of CMDBuild 4.0.0, a version that introduces significant innovations and improvements to provide an increasingly advanced and efficient user experience. This new application version also includes the respective cores of openMAINT and CMDBuild READY2USE.

This new release includes new features and improvements designed to deliver a more innovative and high-performance platform, enriching the user’s experience even further. Moreover, graphic restyling has been implemented to improve usability and optimize the user interface, making it even more intuitive and easier to navigate.

Here is the list of relevant changes:

New Features:

  • Plugin Manager: the new component that allows centralized and graphical management of plugins, thus allowing greater modularity of the solution. All new connectors will be managed via the Plugin Manager.
  • Initial implementations for Kubernetes support in CMDBuild: exploring its integration within modern Kubernetes architectures.
  • Offline Mobile App: to consult the data of the application in offline mode and to be able to perform a series of actions on the data that will then be uploaded to CMDBuild when the application returns to online mode.
  • Data Model Synchronization: Functionality for massive updating of the database structure without the use of SQL.

Improvements:

  • New Plugin: LDAP integration, VCenter, AWS manager, AzureRM, AzureAD, OCS Inventory, HDA and BIG4IT
  • Other optimizations and new features: improvements to maps, relationship management, attachment management, security, and availability of Widgets even on completed processes.

In addition to the new features and improvements, version 4.0.0 also includes several bug fixes to ensure greater platform stability and reliability.

As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation, the team is already working on release 4.1, which is scheduled for release in July 2025. This future version will bring additional improvements and new features, with the goal of making CMDBuild an even more comprehensive and advanced solution.
